Public Healing Service

As a satellite campus for the National Encounter School of Ministry, Encounter Lafayette is partnering with Fr George Steward, diocesan priest of New York, and St Leo the Great's Parish to host a weekend Encounter School of Healing.

We believe that not only does Jesus still heal today, but that healing is one of the most powerful ministries of evangelization. Jesus never preached the Gospel of the kingdom of God without demonstrating the kingdom through signs, wonders, and miracles, with healing as the most frequent demonstration of God’s love. This will include a time of worship and praise, proclamation of the Gospel and preaching, corporate prayer for healing ending with individual prayer teams for healing. Come prepared for breakthrough!

Speakers

Fr. George Stewart Guest Speaker

Fr. George Stewart is a Roman Catholic priest and Pastor presently serving in the South Bronx, NY. Ordained in 1994, he has had a passion for the New Evangelization. Given the challenge of his present assignment, he began to earnestly seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the charismatic gifts. As a result of this surrender, he has seen an incredible outpouring of God’s Mercy alongside a newly-formed Team of Healing and Deliverance. Having already seen the powerful manifestation of God’s power, it is his hope that his Parish of St. Augustine-Our Lady of Victory will be the epicenter of an even greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit that will lead to a revival not only of his Parish but to the whole of the Bronx and beyond.

When not doing some form of ministry, he can be found camping in the remote wilderness with his two Australian Shepherds, Blue and Blaze. He is a recent graduate of Encounter School of Ministry.

Braxton and Libby Callen Lafayette Campus Directors

Braxton and Libby Callen serve as a full-time missionary family with Every and All at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA. After getting married in May 2022 they launched the new sateillite campus for Encounter in Lafayette.

Libby and Braxton are passionate about journeying with men and women as disciples of Christ. Their individual missionary journies led them to seeking training through Encounter's online campus over the last several years. Their dream is to live a culture of the early church and to see the proclamation of the Gospel, accompanies by the signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit reach every nation.
